1. February 7th         Annular Solar Eclipse

This phenomenon is not visible from Japan.

2. February 21st         Total Lunar Eclipse

This phenomenon is not visible from Japan.

3. August 1st         Total Solar Eclipse

In general, partial eclipse is visible from Rishiri, Rebun and Tsushima. The Sun sets right after the eclipse begins.

4. August 17th         Partial Lunar Eclipse

In general, partial eclipse is visible from all over Japan excluding eastern Hokkaido. The Moon sets during the eclipse. Local circumstances are as follows.
